Offered remotely or in-person

Diagnostic Consultation

For clients seeking diagnostic clarity without the cost and time of a full evaluation, a second opinion on an existing diagnosis, or guidance on what is the right next step. Available with a Biomedical Add-On.

A diagnostic consultation is a focused clinical alternative to a full neuropsychological evaluation. Beyond diagnosis, the consultation addresses which services and supports to pursue and whether a full neuropsychological evaluation would add meaningful value. If a full evaluation is recommended and you choose to move forward, the cost of the diagnostic consultation is credited toward the evaluation fee.

If you're asking any of the following, a diagnostic consultation can help:

  • I know my child has autism, but do they also have dyslexia or another learning disability?

  • Does my child have dyslexia or a learning disability?

  • Is this really autism?

  • Should we invest in a full evaluation, or put that money toward tutoring and support?

  • Is ABA the right approach — and is it actually helping?

  • Are we in the right school?

  • What kind of reading support or speech therapy does my child need?

  • Should we be having a meeting with the school?

What's Included:

  1. Intake — A brief call to confirm fit, followed by a comprehensive intake form, questionnaires, and document request.

  2. Records Review — Existing neuropsychological, psychological, and school records — including IEPs, prior evaluations, and any other relevant reports — are reviewed before your appointment.

  3. Clinical Interview — A 60–90 minute session (remote or in-person) covering detailed history, with targeted screening measures administered as indicated.

  4. Collateral Input — When useful, brief interviews or rating scales from teachers, providers, or family members.

  5. Diagnoses, Documentation & Recommendations — A written summary documenting diagnostic conclusions, learning recommendations, and guidance on services and next steps — including whether a full neuropsychological evaluation is warranted.

  6. Feedback Session — A 15-minute call to walk through results and recommendations. Included at no charge.

If a full neuropsychological evaluation is recommended, the diagnostic consultation fee is credited toward the cost of the evaluation.
